DWQA QuestionsCategory: PiCapture SupportUsing another serial device with the HD1
Nicholas Skahill asked 3 years ago

Hello!
I purchased a HD1 to connect a DSLR to my quadcopter. This drone is controlled via wifi signal to the raspberry pi that connects like this on physical pins 8 and 10.

I have tried both I2C configurations and they both produce unwanted output on the serial connection on those pins. Do you have any advice for using this capture card with another serial device running at 921600 baud?

Thanks,
Nick

The PiCapture board is connected to the Raspberry Pi control interface through the jumpers. If you have set up the jumpers for an I2C interface, then PiCapture is not connected to the serial port pins at all, and any output is being generated by the RPi. Most likely, the serial console is enabled and so you are seeing the console output. The method for changing this depends on the RPi OS you are using.
