i am using $ raspivid -o – -t 0 -hf -w 800 -h 400 -fps 24 |cvlc -vvv stream:///dev/stdin –sout ‘#standard{access=http,mux=ts,dst=:8160}’ :demux=h264  to capture hdmi from  a mag50, but i get two images on the monitor and colours are wrong  any ideas? please, i have tried- awb off and -awbg 1.0,1.0 and -ex off   but no real difference  (the mag 50 is basically playing streamed bbc tv, thanks in advance  regards richard

Based on the information you provided, it seems most likely that there is a mismatch between the resolution of the incoming video and the “camera mode” that raspivid is using for the capture.  You can use pivideo to query the PiCapture board and see what camera mode it is sending based on the stream it sees:  pivideo -q all
A second possibility is that you are sending interlaced video to the HD1, which can only process progressive video sources.
If you continue to have issues, please send a still capture frame that shows the problem, along with the output of “pivideo -q all -v”, and we will be glad to take a look at it.
