The camera I was wanting to digitise is a 715 line security camera. I was wondering if the PiCapture will be able to digitise it without cropping out some of the frame? If one has the choice of 640×480 or 720p, would it be possible to use 720p on a composite video signal?
    thanks

720p is a progressive video standard. The PiCapture HD1 supports progressive signals, while the SD1 supports standard definition interlaced signals. It sounds as though your security camera has an “enhanced” (non-standard) composite (interlaced) output? In that case it would likely not work with with the SD1. The combination of “720p” and “composite” does not seem to match any standard signal….
